We are delighted to welcom back Craig Joiner, a dextrous and highly accomplished guitarist and an excellent singer songwriter. Whether recalling a love lost, the calming beauty of nature or relating the epic tale of a struggle at sea, Craig’s songs are informed by experience, observation, vivid imagination and a desire to take his music “deeper into folk”.

Mike Brocken, of Folkscene included Craig’s album, ‘A Kind Of Calm’, as one of his radio show’s Top Ten “Album Of The Year, 2024” choices. He says: “It’s pretty special. Took us by surprise. A really interesting acoustic album.” And Craig’s song, “The Wedding Day of Eliza May”, won the “Track/Song Of The Year, 2024” in the annual Fatea Awards

Den Miller

it’s been a while since Den Miller parked his motor bike and strolled into the club, guitar on back, looking for somewhere to play. Since then he’s played for us a number of times and we’re always happy to host him. Strong melodies, catchy sing-along choruses, and intelligent lyrics, are the trademark of songs composed and performed by this singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Den is an engaging and entertaining live performer, delivering his music and his message with clarity, energy and a good deal of humour.

His latest album “Bless The Rains” presents songs inspired by his time living in Kenya, including stereotypes, difficult decisions, corrupt leaders, gratitude for privilege, gratitude even for bad things, the power of hope and … tea. Den’s already known for an unusual viewpoint that entertains and is thought-provoking and his new album widens the perspective further.
